Hi, I’m Erin (she/her) and I’m a book coach. A book coach is like a trail guide and a personal trainer in one. My job is to make sure you don’t get lost in your process, commiserate with you over the hard stuff, celebrate your successes, and hold you accountable to yourself and your goals.

As a creative generalist I understand the doubt, anxiety and loneliness that come with the creative process. Working with me means that you won’t face those things alone.

When you work with me, this is what you can expect:

  • Respect. We are unique humans who deserve to be treated respectfully, even when conversations are difficult. I commit to treating clients with care and respect, and I ask that they extend the same commitment to me.

  • Commitment. It takes time and energy to write a book. Parts of the process will be fun and parts will be downright painful. I commit my energy, emotion and time to help my clients, but they will only be successful if they too make the same commitment.

  • Openness. As a client you are asking for honest feedback and critique. This can be hard to hear. As a coach I am also interested in feedback, and I will regularly solicit it. Growth for both parties is only possible if we are open to receiving the information.

  • Investment. Coaching is a financial commitment, however I make no guarantees that a client’s work will get published. Writers who work with me acknowledge this and are comfortable with my fee structure.
